What if preparing for the Greater Exodus begins with the ground already entrusted to us?
In The Exodus Readiness Manual: Cleansing the Soul, the House, and the Land for the Final March, I explain that readiness is not merely a future expectation. It is a present call to repentance, covenant loyalty, prayer, and faithful stewardship.
Chapter 13, “Covenant Sound and Warfare Weapons,” describes spiritual weapons that do not depend on human strength: Scripture, prayer, worship, testimony, repentance, obedience, forgiveness, discernment, covenant sound, and prophetic acts submitted to Yehovah. One of the chapter’s case studies is staking the land as a covenant witness.
This is the biblical framework behind our Medina County Stake-the-Land Project.
The project brought together members from several congregations, including St. Paul Lutheran Church, Methodist congregations, and Messianic believers. Together, they reflect “The Tapestry of the Kingdom”—different theological threads woven together by a shared devotion to Yeshua.

A Prophetic Witness in Medina County
On November 15, 2025, ten passionate believers representing the lost tribes of Israel traveled to the four corners of Medina County, Texas. Our purpose was to pray, declare Yehovah’s ownership, and dedicate the county to Him as a potential place of refuge for His people.
We carried eight stakes:
- Four red stakes engraved with Scriptures affirming that the land belongs to Yehovah and is surrendered to Yeshua Messiah.
- Four yellow tent stakes containing sands connected with Mount Sinai in Saudi Arabia, the Jordan River, and the Temple Mount Sifting Project in Jerusalem.
My husband, David Baca, drilled small openings in the yellow stakes. He placed the sands inside and sealed them with epoxy. The stakes were then prepared as physical witnesses of our prayers and declarations.
The sand and stakes were not treated as magical objects. They possessed no power in themselves. Their purpose was to serve as visible reminders of covenant, obedience, prayer, and the rightful ownership of Yehovah.
When the Way Forward Is Not Perfect
Our original plan was to obtain permission to enter properties at each geographical corner of Medina County. Considerable effort was made to contact the appropriate landowners.
Only one landowner responded positively.
Rather than trespass or disregard lawful boundaries, we adjusted our plans. We prayed from lawful locations and proclaimed the county for Yehovah’s purposes without violating anyone’s property rights. A prophetic act should never become an excuse to ignore permission, safety, or respect for others.
We are especially grateful to Shannon Ralston, a business owner and investor who welcomed the project with enthusiasm. Shannon and her boyfriend, Phillip, encouraged the entire team through their willingness to participate. Her gracious response demonstrated how one open door can strengthen a larger work of faith.
Driving the Stakes
At each location, the team prayed over the boundary and dedicated the land to Yehovah through Yeshua Messiah. David brought the tools needed to drive the stakes into Medina County’s rugged soil.
He used a treasured hammer given to him as a gift by Angel and Olivia Barradas, owners of Vaqueros Restaurant in Hondo, Texas, and inscribed with Psalm 144:1:
“Blessed be יהוה my Rock,
Who is teaching my hands for fighting,
My fingers for battle.”
—Psalm 144:1 ISR
As each stake entered the ground, it became a witness to the prayer spoken over that location: that the land belongs to Yehovah, that every unlawful spiritual claim must yield to the authority of Yeshua, and that the area would be prepared for righteous purposes.
This was not a declaration of human ownership over private property. It was not an attempt to seize land, override civil authority, or claim another person’s possessions. It was an act of intercession—a prayer that Medina County would be cleansed, protected, and prepared as a place where Yehovah’s people could find refuge.
How This Connects to Chapter 13
Chapter 13 explains that covenant warfare is not built on spectacle. Its foundation is repentance, holiness, obedience, and loyalty to Yehovah.
The chapter presents several important principles that guided our project:
1. Physical objects are witnesses, not sources of power
A stake, a shofar, a handful of soil, or an engraved Scripture does not possess spiritual authority in itself. These objects may serve as reminders or visible testimonies, but true authority belongs to Yehovah and is exercised through Yeshua Messiah.
2. A prophetic act must remain lawful
Believers should obtain permission before entering or placing anything on property they do not own. Respect for landowners, public boundaries, and local laws is part of righteous stewardship.
3. Repentance comes before proclamation
Preparing land begins with preparing the people who stand upon it. Before dedicating a home, church, ranch, or county, we must examine our own hearts, confess sin, forgive others, reject idolatry, and submit ourselves fully to Yehovah.
4. Scripture and prayer establish the meaning
The act is not defined by the object placed in the ground. It is defined by the prayer, the biblical testimony, and the covenant intent behind it. Chapter 13 encourages believers to pray Psalm 91 over boundaries, consecrate the space, fill it with worship and Scripture, and maintain that dedication through holy living.
5. Consecration must continue after the event
Driving a stake is not the end of the work. A place prepared for refuge must continue to be governed by truth, mercy, hospitality, prayer, practical wisdom, and obedience. Dedication is not a one-day ceremony; it is an ongoing responsibility.
Preparing Refuge Before the Greater Exodus
The central message of The Exodus Readiness Manual is that Yehovah prepares His people before He moves them.
The Greater Exodus will require more than enthusiasm about prophecy. It will require a people who have learned to cleanse their own hearts, govern their households, examine their spiritual gates, dedicate their land, and live in covenant order.
Before there can be prepared regions, there must be prepared people.
Before we ask for a place of refuge, we should ask whether our homes are places of refuge now. Are they filled with prayer? Is Scripture heard within them? Are the vulnerable protected? Are strangers shown hospitality? Is practical preparation joined with faith? Does the household belong fully to Yehovah?
Staking land can serve as a public declaration of that commitment. The stake does not make the land holy. It testifies that the steward is asking Yehovah to cleanse, consecrate, and use the place for His purposes.
You Can Begin Where You Are
You do not need sand from a biblical site to dedicate the land entrusted to you. You may use an ordinary wooden or plastic stake, write an appropriate Scripture on it, and place it lawfully on property you own or have permission to use.
If you wish to include soil connected with the Temple Mount Sifting Project, it is available through the Temple Mount Soil website. Remember, however, that the soil itself is not a charm, talisman, or source of protection. It is only a physical witness to the prayer and covenant declaration being made.
Your project might involve:
- Repenting and dedicating yourself and your household to Yehovah.
- Researching the history of the property without making accusations or inventing claims.
- Obtaining permission before entering or placing a stake on land.
- Choosing Scriptures that declare Yehovah’s ownership, protection, holiness, and peace.
- Preparing one or more stakes as visible covenant witnesses.
- Praying Psalm 91 over the boundaries.
- Asking Yehovah to cleanse the land through the finished work of Yeshua.
- Consecrating the property for worship, refuge, hospitality, justice, and service.
- Continuing to fill the place with Scripture, prayer, obedience, and practical preparation.
You may begin with your home, church, farm, ranch, ministry property, business, or another place for which you have lawful responsibility.
A Prayer for Dedicating the Land
Yehovah, the earth is Yours and everything in it. I come before You through Yeshua Messiah as a steward of this place. I repent for my own sins and ask for mercy concerning any known or unknown defilement connected with this land.
I renounce every agreement with idolatry, bloodshed, injustice, occult practice, violence, hatred, exploitation, and rebellion. I testify that the blood of Yeshua speaks a better word and that His finished work is sufficient to answer every accusation brought under repentance and faith.
I dedicate this land to You. Let its boundaries be places of peace. Let its homes become places of refuge. Let truth be spoken here, mercy be practiced here, and worship rise here. Prepare this place according to Your will, and prepare the people who will steward it.
May this land serve Your purposes and provide safety, hospitality, righteousness, and provision in the days ahead. Let every action taken here honor You, respect others, and remain lawful. This place belongs to You, and we surrender its use to Your direction through Yeshua Messiah. Amen.
